So far I have tested a few apps on my iPad some are successful and some arn’t that good.

Backgrounder/ProSwitcher
This app is for switching apps on your iPhone/iTouch originally, not for iPad. If you install this app on your iPad you will receive prompts, leaving your iPad in Safe Mode. Which mean you would need to restart your device. Not recommended to install this app until there is a new update or wait for the next iPad OS update.

Infinidock
An app which lets you place a number of apps in the dock as much as you want. Although when tiling your device to landscape it corrupts the dock. The remaining apps on the right cannot be scrolled even though you tilt it back. Don’t install it until there is a new update for this app.

Winterboard
Winterboard works perfectly fine. Although you need to change the wallpaper on the home screen, it’s quite blurry.

SBSettings
App works fine. Would be nice if they add an iPad size of the SBSettings rather then iPhone/iTouch. Hope the update will come out very soon.

Categories
No bad points about this app. Set your apps in categorized folders in easy steps.

Installous
A great app store when you don’t want to spend chunks of money on apps. The navigation of the app is great, search your apps and download to your device. You can select the app to be install automatically or manually. There is a disadvantage, when you sync your iPad on your Windows/Mac PC your downloaded (Installous) apps will be removed as they are cracked and not approved by Apple AppStore. As long you don’t delete the app in your Installous folder, you can just re-install it again. Although existing game data will also be terminated.

MakeItMine
Changing your carrier’s name or banner works like a charm.

More news on iPad apps coming soon :-)

Finally I got my iPad I have been waiting for it since January :-) The iPad looks cool and sleek, love the screen and I love the keyboard as well. So far I don’t have any issues with the wifi and it’s good that I didn’t buy the 3G version as I can use my iPhone which means a cheaper option. Although my iPhone has to be jailbroken, still better and good method to use. Speed is outstanding using the iPhone data :-) I will look into further with other mobile phones if can be connected to the iPad and I’ll post updates about it.

Apps
The apps are good so far, in the app store for games. There are no button for categorised games whilst iPhone AppStore has it. Hope Apple can do something about it, so troublesome searching for games. iPad apps are definitely expensive there, you gotta be rich to have them on your iPad. I already purchased a few games Top Gun, Pinball HD etc. Was going to buy the Red Alert game but I do not think the game might entertain me so I pass. You can use your purchased apps (iPhone/iTouch) for your iPad although sizes aren’t that great. For instance Peggle by PopCap the game is in iPhone size version, there is an option to expand the size of the game but it’s slightly blurry. The game Zombie Smash, once expanded the graphics still looks nice.

Features/Functions
I love the size of the full keyboard it’s very nice. Still need more time to get use to the keyboard, probably a few days will do. The settings page looks nice, everything laid out nicely. YouTube looking good as always, it’s a lot better than the iTouch/iPhone basic interface. Haven’t tried out the photos, videos yet as I haven’t chosen my photos yet hehe I will post them on my next update. Any features that I haven’t mention out, an update will be post out next week.

The downside of this iPad is that there is no camera, so crap without a camera. It’s nice to have a camera when using it for instant messaging. I think Steve will be working on the 2nd Gen iPad next year with added features. I’m not bother with Flash, as I don’t visit those flash websites and When it comes to flash websites I hate it. Even I’m on my desktop or notebook, it takes quite a while to load up.

Next update will be on Jailbreaking iPad, iPad features. Stay tune!

I have decided to get an iPad since I am bursting to get my hands on, been waiting for this moment. Was going to order via the US site but if using a third party company to send it to me such as BundleBox the costs would be the same so I’ll buy instead. I brought the 32GB Wifi version as 3G is not needed, and I don’t have enough funds to get the contract as you may already know that I’m getting one for my mrs so basically I need more funds to get one for her. For the time being I’m getting one for myself and she can wait hehe

Anyway I’m off to chat to my mrs and let you know what I’m up in the next few days. Cheers.
